Purpose: Ideal for players looking for a bit more softness and stickiness in their base layer.

Texture: Softer than the regular Maple Rosin, with softness increased by 20 to 30 percent.

Usage: Used as a base coat like the Maple Rosin but offers a slightly different texture and grip. Can be used independently without needing additional rosin.

Comparison: Maple+ is essentially the Maple Rosin, but with increased softness. It is an improvement upon the very popular Pop’s Rosin, providing similar benefits with enhanced characteristics.

As with the original Maple Rosin, our Honey Rosin can be layered over to provide a firmer touch layer on top!

This technique is great for solo playing, as it does a great job of cutting down the “muddiness” factor while increasing volume. The sound produced is much more pleasant (clearer, sweeter) using the Bernardel versus more traditional double bass rosins, esp in the higher register.

Bernadel is a fine rosin and has a reputation for leaving less dust than other “solo” or hard rosins and offers “just the right amount of bite”.

It is an amber rosin cake on an attractive chamois cloth in a handsome blue pouch made in France.
